# Datasets — the Kansas water table, joined and dated — ks-water-table

## Datasets

What sells is not the snapshot, it is the stream. A surface republished overwrites its own past; we keep it.

The pages of this site are free and will stay free : **an official fact belongs to no one**. What is sold here is the compilation work — extracting the Kansas water-table surface, reconciling it, dating it, and delivering it in a usable form.

### ⚠️ What we add, and what we merely copy

The Survey's layer is free and you can download it yourself. What you
cannot download is the join. The table below marks with a ⚠️ every column the
source does **not** contain, and every fill rate is measured on
the file we hold, not estimated.

The 6 fields marked ⚠️ **do not exist in the source** : we add them — a join, a normalisation, or a reconstructed history. That is the part a buyer cannot reproduce by downloading the official file.

### What it costs

- **Change feed — USD 250 / month**Or USD 2 500 a year. At every collection, what came in, went out or changed since the previous one. This is the part that does not age.
- **One slice — USD 70 / month**The feed restricted to a single county, for those who do not need the rest.
- **Full snapshot — USD 3 300, once**The state of the register on the day of delivery, every field included. Listed last on purpose : a snapshot ages.

Prices in USD, before any applicable tax. Delivered as CSV and Parquet, by download link. Every request is answered by hand.
